Spittal/Drau (Austria), July 2022. Done. In July this year, just 12 months after the topping-out ceremony, Lindner moved into its new offices and modern, 14,000 m² production area. The high demand for Lindner's quality products worldwide has made it essential to expand the factory as well as the team with 100 new employees being hired as part of the expansion. The celebrations are only internal at the moment - the official opening ceremony will take place next year as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations.
Globally, recycling has been experiencing a strong upswing for many years. In recent years, with the increasing awareness of energy costs and the shortage of resources and raw materials, the EU, as well as a wide range of industries, have made increasing efforts in recent years to recover recyclable materials from the waste stream, such as household or commercial waste, and to recycle them. As an internationally successful company, Lindner, together with its sales partners, promotes its stationary and mobile recycling solutions at around 50 trade fairs and conferences worldwide every year. And successfully so, as the order books are already nicely full for the following year.
For the new production facility, the company not only investmented in robotics, automation, and effective flow production, it also invested in the location of Spittal an der Drau. "We deliberately chose Spittal - this way we secure jobs in this region. By using the latest production technology we ensure the high quality standard of our products. It also means we can expand our depth of production, assuring our flexibility as well as the availability of our products," says Managing Director Michael Lackner.
With our modern production and the new premises - the in-house canteen will be completed soon - we also want to be an attractive employer," adds Lackner. "The demand for our recycling solutions is high. That's why we are also constantly expanding our team. All current job vacancies are advertised on our career page."
Internally, the move into the new plant was celebrated on July 1st as part of the annual employee barbecue party, hosted jointly by the works council and the management. "We are proud of our employees, some of whom spent more than a year preparing for the production move. Not an easy job. Starting up of the new automation and robotics systems as well as the flow production is going very well thanks to the dedication of each and every one of our staff," adds owner Manuel Lindner.
